Like the comments here already states, most of their reviews are done by themselves. The whole academy is run by their family n friends so, when you have complaints, they'll just toss you around from one head office to another. I speak from experience, myself. I had joined their Teacher's training programme this month and attended just one hour at Koramangala only to realise that I was misled on the whole thing from one lie to another, including fees(i was initially told 60000 inclusive of GST and that a good discount will definitely be given but during registration they said that Rs.60 180 is the discounted final amount from 70k+GST. And the receipt is labelled under "Good Living Yoga academy" for some reason and not Akshar PYA). The one session I had(which was my first and last) was under Manasa with one other student (who had been practising there for one n a half months) and to my surprise, both of us were taught on the same level. No consideration was given that I am a beginner. The yoga was super intense I was extremely exhausted and even felt dizzy half way through. They should have given a trial class or atleast mentioned that power yoga is of high intensity, which they didnt bother to, even after informing them that I wanted to complete the course within 45 days(since I was leaving Bangalore). During registration, instead of briefing about the yoga style and effects they maintained focus on flattering me about my appearance, age, how different I looked as a Muslim and how surprised they were to know that I was married and so on like a cheap marketing tactic. However, I asked for a refund the very same day after a whole bunch of other shady experience (even the Master trainer at their HSR franchise agreed btw) and they denied a refund after having me call and talk to Malini(SadashivNagar main head, who simply covered her back) and Minisha(Indiranagar head, who now disagrees that she never promised me a refund) several times everyday for a week. I am now stuck with weak wrists for which I need medications (thanks to the inexperienced trainer, Manasa, who "trained" me). And so, all you guys who are planning to join here, PLEASE BE EXTRA CAREFUL, ask for a trial class and get all the details before you register. Although, I would never suggest Akshar Yoga to anyone especially when they take such a huge amount for bare minimum quality. Very dishonest folks; the whole bunch and also very unprofessional. I even have a call record of the trainer Manasa yelling at me and being really rude. To be sure, I had contacted other previous members who had similar issues or even worse(one student was cheated with fake certificates without the seal/barcode, etc. and it took her a year and so much more to finally get the genuine one).
Please do check their reviews everywhere including Fitternity(there is a review about their prenatal yoga service that went horrible), Facebook, Put me in touch with Bangalore group, etc. before you make the mistake of joining here.
FYI, I still haven't received my refund. They have happily kept it for themselves in the name of a "no refund policy" stated on their fake receipt.
